What is the relationship between Diamond Tiara and Nudist Sunset in works you've commissioned?
The works are based on the Where the Sun Sets But Don’t Shine series in which Sunset first arrives through the portal from Equstria but unlike canon she’s nude.
My idea is that Diamond, rather than being upset or embarrassed by Sunset’s nudism, admires her confidence and composure even when naked in public.
In the second picture I commissioned Diamond has had a realisation like the one her pony counterpart had in Crusaders Of The Lost Mark. She wants to make amends for her past behavior but is frightened that no one will forgive her or believe she could really change. Sunset sits down beside Diamond and rather than mock her lends a sympathetic ear and assures Diamond that she’s better than she thinks she is.
After that Diamond looks up to Sunset as a big sister figure, just like Scootaloo sees Rainbow Dash.
The third and final picture symbolises that by coming to school naked Diamond is shedding her old image and being true to herself.
