Harmony and Charity

The idea for Harmony and Charity came about when I was watching Sailor Moon and started thinking how Chibi usa must have had a lonely childhood growing up in Crystal Tokyo's palace prior to her visits to the twentith century. Her parents and the sailor senshi under their command genuinely loved her and cared for her but they would have always been busy matters of state or away on business. True, Diana was there for her but there don't seem to be any other children her own age for her to hang around with and talk to.

I have no idea if it's canon but apparently there's a rule that states that a queen of the moon royal line can only have one child. Usa (she's no longer Chibi) wouldn't want her own child to have the early childhood she had and I decided that the best way to get around the Rule of One was to give her twin daughters, two children born at the same time.

The twin princesses have each other to play with and talk to so even when their parents and the senshi are busy they're never lonely.

Harmony is the more mischievous of the pair and can usually be found dreaming up pranks and crazy schemes, usually with the intent of taking food from the palace kitchens. Though she is a tomboy she almost always wears her royal dress, mostly out of habit. Harmony rarely seems to take anything seriously but she is very protective of her family, especially her sister.

Charity is much better behaved than her sister. Some people, her parents included, worry that she’s too innocent, it’s difficult to tell if she goes along with Harmony’s pranks and crazy ideas because she’s humoring her twin or because she just doesn’t get it. That said, Charity is the on who always stops Harmony before she can do anything really bad.

For those of you who are wondering, Harmony wear her odangoon the right side of her head while Charity wears her on the left.

Avengers Assemble!

I just got back from seeing Avengers Assemble today. Stand by for fanboy moment:

I didn't think it possible but without any spoilers I can safely say that Marvel nailed Avengers! Equal parts action and drama with everybody getting equal amounts of screen time. It was worth waiting all of these years for!
